We choose the type of stop, and according to the area that the stop can serve, we look for a suitable place, we click on a free square on the map and boom, we have a bus stop. So we have buses and trucks, trains, ships and planes (helicopters). As the director of a transport company, you can transport goods in 4 basic ways: by road, by rail, by air and by sea. From the beginning, it is just a very modest house with wooden fencing, but if you are handy, it can become a modern "business center" like J&T on Patrónka :-) - in short, a multi-storey building with concrete fencing and its own parking lot.Īfter completing this basic procedure, you can roll up your sleeves and start working. I remember always looking for the biggest city for the headquarters so that I would "not be in a forkhole", the fact is that it is possible to build "in the middle of nowhere". First, set up your main tent, choose a name, a "company color" and a director's (or director's) face. In this game you are the director of a transport company. One would think that "it's some kind of guilt." But then it all starts. You are on a green field, here and there a farm, a mine, a slaughterhouse, an ironworks, and a few larger or smaller places. The game starts as a classic strategic dozen. And it was no different in this case either. You could say that the game that Sid Meier released on the air was always at least a bomb, if not more. To get to the point: Transport Tycoon de Luxe is the work of Microprose, the head of which is the legendary Sid Meier (the main programmer of the game is Chris Sawyer), who is responsible for all those "ufá and x-comy", "civilizations", Colonization and many other very good games. When I first came to to download some games and saw the fact that such a game with a big G-A-M-E and such a BOMB doesn't have a review here yet, I decided to change it.

Players that already have huge collections will find the existing campaign fairly easy with their full resources at their disposal, but I chose to tackle the content with the fresh decks provided for the campaign, using only what I found and collected during my travels. Things are tied to your race and faction, which changes who you interact with and where you travel, making it worth your time to explore several different characters. The campaign experience takes a fairly standard fantasy approach, with a basic story and standard quests. This additional layer feels great on top of the other decisions in deckbuilding and talent-selection for adventuring and dungeon-crawling. These can be insanely powerful (like doubling the effect of a spawning Shin’hare or turning cards in your hand to life gain sources), incentivizing players to use cards they might not otherwise, or facilitate new playstyles and deck options. Instead, it adds special effects to specific cards in your deck. Unlike classic RPGs, this gear doesn’t add more hit points or damage to your hero. Players find weapons and armor as rewards from their travels, and slot them into the paper doll. In addition to unique class mechanics like cleric blessings and warrior brawls, equipment slots add yet another layer of customization and complexity to the game. Many these avenues take advantage of the fact that Hex is a digital-only offering it would be practically impossible on a tabletop to track the insertion of spider eggs and other random effects that add significant zest to the game. Hex provides interesting ways to play even for seasoned trading card game fans, whether you’re looking to load up your opponent’s deck with a ton of spider eggs fueled by the arachnid Vennen, lead a swarm of bunny-based samurai to victory with the Shin’hare, or use the power of prophecy to create a powerful shifting deck with the Coyotle’s powers of foresight. The PvE content and drafting opportunities are the most compelling offerings Hex has on display, and they’re both a blast to engage with. This world features overworld encounters and dungeon crawls, and players take on everything from puzzle-like encounters to standard beat-down brawls. But Hex also features a heavy PvE environment in the form of a campaign and arena that allow players to level up heroes, selecting talents and specializations with various race/class combos, and travel around a map collecting packs and currency. Hex: Shards of Fate features everything you’d expect from a free-to-play trading card game: tournaments, drafting, sparring, and an auction house to sell cards and packs. Our view is simple - if you need to evaluate in detail whether you can justify the annual fee and/or whether you'll use the perks, the card is probably not for you.Other benefits include Priority Plus lounge membership for the cardholder and one guest, insurance benefits, access to the American Express Fine Hotels program, premium hotel chain loyalty memberships, a travel credit and dining credits for selected restaurant spends.Centurion Lounges are opening in Sydney and Melbourne in 2022, with other locations including London, Hong Kong and the USA. The most efficient natural gas combined-cycle power plants have heat rates somewhat below 7,000 Btu/kWh the spark spread for such units would be larger than the value shown here. A combined-cycle unit, which combines a combustion turbine with a steam turbine, is more efficient than a steam turbine alone. Less efficient units have higher heat rates, and therefore require more natural gas to produce a kWh of electricity. A generator that uses 7,000 Btu to produce one kWh has a conversion efficiency slightly below 50% (see chart below). EIA's new daily price table shows the spark spread using a benchmark heat rate of 7,000 Btu/kilowatthour (kWh), which represents a fairly new and efficient natural gas combined-cycle generator. Market participants and observers rely on a generic benchmark to assess overall market conditions. Those marketing the output of a unit will use the unit's tested heat rate to assess its profitability. Spark spreads are calculated using the following equation: Spark spread ($/MWh) = power price ($/MWh) – Ī key component of the spark spread equation is the heat rate, or measure of efficiency, of a generating unit. Note that spark spreads are not reported if they have negative values. There is also variation in average spark spread levels across regions: New York City tends to have relatively high average spark spreads, while in the Pacific Northwest, a low average spark spread reflects low average power prices (because of an abundance of low-cost hydropower, particularly in the late spring and early summer). Power prices formed in Regional Transmission Organizations (New York City and Chicago in the chart above) tend to be spikier than those formed in markets featuring bilateral trading between market participants (Pacific Northwest and Southeast). Spark spreads tend to be fairly volatile, more so than crack spreads in petroleum markets, largely because of the volatility of wholesale electric power prices, which vary widely with changes in demand for electricity and the available electric supply. The chart above shows spark spreads during 2012, calculated for four locations around the United States. It is typically calculated using daily spot prices for natural gas and power at various regional trading points. The spark spread is the difference between the price received by a generator for electricity produced and the cost of the natural gas needed to produce that electricity. The spark spread is a common metric for estimating the profitability of natural gas-fired electric generators. Energy Information Administration, based on SNL Energy. But honestly, the more I saw, the more I liked. ARQ is one of those Instagram-darling brands that I started a love affair with because I saw so many ethical fashion influencers wearing their stuff. The one extravagant underwear purchase I made recently was a beautiful, organic cotton set from ARQ. Someone who didn’t consider how hard it is to feel sexy when you’re trying to figure out which weird lace strap goes where and how to get this one part to stop digging into your sensitive bits. Who designed this stuff? A dude, probably. I bought it to have something sexy and fun for my partner and I to enjoy, but every time I put it on I felt like an idiot. Is conventional lingerie the devil, or what? (Dad, this is a good place for you to stop reading) I used to spend money on “sexy” lingerie at Victoria’s Secret and then never, ever, wear it. They have good sales on holiday weekends, so that’s typically when I stock up. You can use my referral link for 20% off your first Pact purchase, and FYI, Pact does let you double up on discounts. They’re having a sale this weekend and they finally restocked most of their underwear sizes, so I might invest in a couple of thongs, because even though I don’t love thongs, sometimes an outfit simply requires one. In addition to the underwear, I also bought several pairs of leggings for hanging out around the house, two sports bras, and two gym outfits. I like that they make so many simple, comfortable styles, and in my experience, they really hold up. They’re a Fair Trade Factory certified organization, they use organic cotton in all of their products, and they have a fairly accessible price point. I bought two six-packs of bikinis, one all black pack and one pink-white-beige combo pack. I got very lucky during the Pact Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales and ended up buying about $100 worth of underwear for just over $12. They weren’t perfect for every situation, though, given the logo band, so I knew that going forward I wanted panties that were as plain and unadorned as possible. I had about five pairs of those, in black, white, and grey, and I reached for them often. The closest thing I had in my drawer to what I envisioned as the “perfect” underwear were my Calvin Klein bikinis, which have the cute little logo waistband and in general are very comfortable and well made (I live near a Calvin Klein outlet, so Matt and I stop in periodically for underwear – he wears Calvin Klein underwear almost exclusively). I don’t like boyshorts or hipsters or thongs. How to describe the anatomy of a good pair of underwear? For me, it’s a cotton bikini in a neutral color. Late last year, I decided that yes, every single pair of underwear in my drawer should be the good pair, and I set about making some big intimates investments. Why was I putting them back in the drawer? Why was I continuing to buy “cute” underwear that chafed or pinched or didn’t breath well or deformed immediately in the washing machine? Why did I let these panties exist in my underwear drawer for so long while I consistently chose “the good pair” over and over again instead? Shouldn’t all of my underwear be the good pair? The pair of panties that I would pick out of my underwear drawer and think “these are uncomfortable” before putting them BACK IN THE DRAWER and choosing another pair. There are affiliate and referral links peppered throughout the article, and I may receive a small commission and/or store credit if you make a purchase using one of those links. Just a disclosure before I begin: none of the products discussed in this post were gifted, and I don’t have a relationship with any of these brands. I have been on an underwear journey – away from plastic panties, the male gaze, and the 5-for-25 bin, and towards the organic cotton bikinis and feminist lingerie of my dreams. I wrote a few weeks ago about my experience with Thinx period underwear, and a reader asked if I would share more about my overall underwear drawer, since I seem to be on a bit of an underwear journey these days. Lets first say, I did found this movie, after it poped out on me at the movie database when I was browsing net. Save your time and sanity, and steer clear of this cash grab. While the art and action scenes may provide fleeting moments of entertainment, they can't save this train wreck from being anything other than a disappointment. It's a showcase of missed opportunities, lazy writing, and characters that are mere shadows of their former selves. Because nothing says quality storytelling like juvenile horny fanservice humour and objectifying women.ĭragon Nest: Warrior's Dawn is a shining example of how to butcher a beloved game and turn it into an incoherent mess of a movie. And let's not forget the thrilling action scenes, because mindless spectacle can sometimes make up for a lacklustre narrative, right? Oh, and let's not overlook the occasional comedic relief and lame accidental boob grabs. It's a shame that the story and characters couldn't live up to the artistic prowess on display. The character designs, especially for the main characters, are fantastic. The backgrounds and towns look exactly like those in the game, which is impressive. Nothing memorable, but at least it doesn't actively detract from the already abysmal experience. As for the background music, it's adequate. Moving on to the technical aspects of this train wreck, the English dub is mostly decent, except for the screaming. They exist solely to fight, talk trash, and scream at each other, because unity and camaraderie are overrated, right? Who needs compelling side characters when you can just have mindless brawling and incoherent shouting? Instead, we're treated to a predictable romantic relationship between Liya and Lambert because apparently, saving each other's asses is the quickest way to fall in love.Īnd let's not forget the side characters, or as I like to call them, cannon fodder. But alas, Warrior's Dawn prefers to skim the surface and avoid any meaningful exploration of themes. She's related to the elves' hatred of humans, which could have been an interesting exploration of discrimination and its consequences. But hey, who needs character development when you can just throw in mindless action, right?Īh, Liya, the token 'developed' character in this mess. We have no idea where he came from, why he's swinging a sword around, or why we should care about him at all. Unlike the protagonist of Dragon Nest: Shungeki no Sedo (because one Dragon Nest adaptation clearly wasn't enough), Lambert is a two-dimensional husk with about as much depth as a puddle. Oh, Lambert, you energetic battle maniac with no backstory, no development, and no discernible purpose. Now, let's talk about our 'hero', Lambert. Bravo, Warrior's Dawn, for successfully ruining the characters we once held dear. It's like taking iconic characters and twisting them into unrecognisable caricatures. Their personalities are butchered, their motivations are shallow, and their overall portrayal is just downright embarrassing. Characters meet by chance or are magically placed in convenient situations.Īrgenta, Geraint, and Velskud, beloved figures from the game, are reduced to pathetic shadows of their former selves. The writing in this movieis as poor as it gets, and the plot is about as predictable as the sunrise. A complete and utter amateur somehow manages to weasel their way into the mission of a lifetime. But here's the kicker: among these so-called 'elite' warriors is an untrained newbie. Each of these warriors conveniently represents their respective race. a chosen few warriors are tasked with eliminating it. Suddenly, a big black dragon awakens, and Apparently, there have been countless wars between races like humans and elves (because wars are always more interesting when they're never explained, right?). The story, or lack thereof, is a convoluted mess that takes place before the events of the game. It's a Chinese-American animated 3D animated moviethat attempts to capture the essence of the popular video game Dragon Nest, but ends up falling flat on its face. As a former Dragon Nest player who is familiar with the game's story, lore, and characters, I have to say Dragon Nest: Warrior's Dawn is yet another failed video game adaptations.
